PT Hutama Karya (Persero) atau HK menyampaikan bahwa Jalan Tol Pekanbaru – Padang Seksi Padang – Sicincin sepanjang 36 Km sudah mulai dioperasikan tanpa tarif pada Rabu, (28/5/2025) mulai pukul 07.00 WIB. Pengoperasian tanpa tarif ini resmi dilakukan setelah terbitnya Surat Keputusan Menteri Pekerjaan Umum (PU) Nomor 519/KPTS/M/2025 tanggal 19 Mei 2025 yang menetapkan bahwa tol tersebut dapat dioperasikan secara penuh.
Executive Vice President (EVP) Sekretaris Perusahaan Hutama Karya, Adjib Al Hakim, menjelaskan bahwa sebelum dioperasikan, ruas tol ini telah melewati Uji Laik Fungsi (ULF) pada 22-24 Januari 2025 dan selanjutnya memperoleh Sertifikat Laik Fungsi Operasi (SLFO) pada 30 April 2025 dari Kementerian PU.
“Dengan lolosnya ULF dan terbitnya SLFO maupun Kepmen, Jalan Tol Padang – Sicincin telah resmi dinyatakan aman dan layak digunakan oleh masyarakat umum,” ungkap Adjib dalam keterangannya, Jumat (30/5/2025).
Lebih lanjut, Adjib menambahkan bahwa sebagai jalan tol pertama di Provinsi Sumatera Barat, pengoperasian ruas ini menjadi sejarah baru dalam konektivitas dan mobilitas masyarakat setempat. Adjib menambahkan bahwa selama masa pengoperasian ini pengguna jalan bisa mulai membiasakan diri dengan ketentuan yang berlaku di jalan tol, khususnya dalam penggunaan kartu uang elektronik (UE) di gerbang tol.
“Meskipun belum dikenakan tarif, pengguna tetap diwajibkan melakukan tapping kartu Uang Elektronik (UE) saat masuk dan keluar dari jalan tol. Pastikan kartu dalam kondisi aktif dan memiliki saldo yang cukup,” tegas Adjib.
Dari sisi manfaat, tol ini secara signifikan memangkas waktu tempuh dari Kota Padang menuju Sicincin. Jika sebelumnya perjalanan memakan waktu sekitar 1,5 jam melalui jalan nasional, kini cukup 30 menit saja dengan menggunakan tol.
Sebagai informasi, pada masa uji coba fungsional saat libur Natal dan Tahun Baru (Desember 2024 – Januari 2025) dan Mudik Lebaran 2025 (23 Maret – 10 April 2025), ruas ini dilintasi oleh ribuan kendaraan dengan catatan Zero Fatality.
“Pengoperasian tol ini adalah bagian dari komitmen Hutama Karya dalam menghadirkan infrastruktur jalan tol yang bermanfaat nyata bagi masyarakat, khususnya di Sumatera Barat. Kami mengimbau kepada pengguna jalan tol untuk mematuhi tata tertib di jalan tol dengan selalu SETUJU untuk mengutamakan keselamatan di jalan tol dengan memastikan kendaraan dan fisik dalam kondisi prima sebelum berkendara, menjaga jarak aman dan berkendara dengan kecepatan maksimum 80 Km/jam,” tutup Adjib.
