Langkah ini searah dengan visi Presiden Prabowo Subianto yang menyediakan hunian layak untuk kelompok masyarakat kurang beruntung di Indonesia dalam upaya pengentasan kemiskinan.
Direktur Utama PLN, Darmawan Prasodjo, menegaskan kesiapan PLN mendukung pemerintah menyediakan perumahan layak dengan suplai listrik yang andal dan terjangkau masyarakat bawah. Harapannya, upaya ini sekaligus mendukung misi perusahaan membangun keberlanjutan energi dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.
“PLN berkomitmen untuk tidak hanya memperluas infrastruktur kelistrikan, tetapi juga memastikan kebutuhan listrik masyarakat terpenuhi dengan energi yang terjangkau dan bersih (affordable clean energy),” ujar Darmawan dalam keterangan resmi, Selasa (3/12/2024).
Melalui program 3 juta rumah ini, PLN memproyeksikan kebutuhan konsumsi listrik sebesar 6,3 Terawatt hour (TWh) per tahun, di mana PLN siap mengalokasikan penambahan kapasitas pembangkit sebesar 1 Gigawatt (GW).
“Infrastruktur kelistrikan kami siapkan mulai dari kapasitas pasokan listrik hingga jaringan distribusi yang akan melayani sampai ke lokasi rumah, sehingga program ini bukan hanya menyediakan rumah, tetapi juga mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi, menciptakan lapangan kerja, dan mengurangi kemiskinan melalui investasi yang berbasis keberlanjutan,” tambah Darmawan.
Selain menyediakan pasokan listrik untuk rumah baru, PLN juga aktif mendorong penggunaan energi terbarukan melalui program bundling PV Rooftop. Program ini memberikan akses kepada masyarakat untuk mengadopsi konsep rumah pintar dan ramah lingkungan (smart & eco-friendly house).
“Dalam mendukung program ini, PLN telah mengembangkan aplikasi PLN Mobile yang memberikan solusi digital untuk berbagai kebutuhan listrik masyarakat,” ungkapnya.
Darmawan juga mengungkapkan bahwa konsumsi listrik per kapita Indonesia saat ini masih rendah, yakni sekitar 1.263 kilowatt hour (kWh) per tahun. Program 3 Juta Rumah ini diharapkan dapat mendorong konsumsi listrik hingga mencapai 4.000 kWh per kapita pada tahun 2045.
“Hal ini sejalan dengan visi Indonesia Emas yang menargetkan pertumbuhan ekonomi dan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Kami percaya, dengan sinergi seluruh pihak dan dukungan pemerintah, program ini akan membawa manfaat besar, tidak hanya bagi PLN, tetapi juga bagi masyarakat luas,” pungkas Darmawan.
Sebelumnya, Wakil Menteri Perumahan dan Kawasan Permukiman (PKP) Fahri Hamzah mengatakan, Program 3 Juta Rumah dilandasi keprihatinan Presiden Prabowo yang memiliki perhatian serius untuk menyisir masyarakat terbawah di Indonesia, yakni mereka yang tidak terdata dan tidak memiliki rumah karena kondisi ekonomi yang sangat lemah, sehingga terpaksa tinggal di pemukiman kumuh di perkotaan, menggelandang, atau tinggal di rumah yang tidak layak huni.
