Menteri Kesehatan Budi Gunadi Sadikin memaparkan situasi kesehatan Indonesia saat ini. Hal itu dipaparkan BGS, sapaan akrab Budi Gunadi Sadikin, ketika menghadiri Rapat Koordinasi Pengendalian Inflasi di kantor Kementerian Dalam Negeri, Kota Jakarta Pusat, Senin (20/1/2025).
Mengutip paparan BGS, terdapat beban masalah kesehatan pada seluruh siklus kehidupan. Berikut perinciannya:
Bayi, balita, dan anak prasekolah:
a. Stunting 21,5%
Anak sekolah dan remaja:
a. Anemia: 15,6%
b. Jiwa: 34,9%
Dewasa dan lansia:
a. Obesitas: 23,4%
b. Hipertensi: 30,8%
c. Gula: 24,3%
Akan tetapi, masih menurut paparan itu, baru 39,8% yang telah skrining penyakit tidak menular. Itu artinya sisanya sebanyak 60,2% belum skrining penyakit tidak menular.
Data lain yang diungkap BGS adalah penduduk usia > 20 tahun tidak pernah periksa, yaitu: a. 80,82% tidak pernah ukur lingkar perut
b. 62,6% tidak pernah periksa gula darah
c. 61,6% tidak periksa kolesterol
d. 36,61% tidak pernah pantau berat badan
e. 32,6% tidak pernah ukur tekanan darah
Dalam paparannya, BGS menjelaskan alasan sekarang banyak masyarakat Indonesia meninggal muda. Muasalnya adalah tidak pernah diskirining.
“62,6% masyarakat kita tidak pernah periksa gula darah (penduduk usia > 20 tahun tidak pernah periksa). Gula ini karena tinggi sebentar nggak apa-apa. Setahun kena mata, habis itu kena ginjal, bentar lagi cuci darah, terusnya kena stroke, kena jantung, wafat. Gula itu lebih bahaya dari pada rokok,” ujar BGS.
Eks wakil menteri BUMN itu mengungkapkan, masyarakat yang meninggal karena stroke dan jantung pasti memiliki kolesterol tinggi.
“Kolesterol selain mesti berubah makan dan olahraga, sebenarnya mesti minum obat. Obatnya ada di puskesmas, gratis. Yang penting bapak ibu jangan takut ditusuk diambil darahnya diperiksa kolesterolnya berapa,” kata BGS.
Lebih lanjut, dia mengatakan, budaya masyarakat Indonesia mesti diubah. Jangan datang ke dokter pada saat sakit, melainkan datang ke dokter untuk jaga supaya sehat.
“Jangan paradigmanya mengobati orang sakit, paradigmanya menjaga kita jangan sampai sakit, sehat terus,” ujar BGS.
